BWE's Robot Dawgs team
System User

Congratulations to the Brandywine Elementary Robotics team! They're headed to Lucas Oil Stadium for the Indiana State Robotics Championships after finishing second out of 42 teams at a competition earlier this month.

The Robot Dawgs were tasked with building robots using kits from VEX Robotics.

The competition, held at Sugar Creek Elementary, was made up of two separate challenges. In the first, students had to use their robots to work together with robots from another team transfer rings from one pole to another, and then separately release rings from a bin. The second challenge let teams' robots work individually to complete the same tasks.

One of the 3 BWE teams in the competition scored the highest total of the day, earning them a berth in the Indiana VEX Robotics State Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium! One of the team's coaches, Ms. Rund, says they won despite someone knocking over their robot and breaking it right before the finals! The team had to quickly rebuild their robot to get it ready in time to compete, and still scored the most points in the competition!

Great job to our Robot Dawgs and good luck in the state finals on March 10th!

The Robot Dawgs team is made up of Jacob Collins, Zoe Nelson, Landon Craig, Ehvah Irwin, Tylar Whitaker, Gavin Smith, Shaun Glass, Joseph Long, Andrew Hahn, Quinn Crawmer, Mackenzie Litwin, Carter Mullen, and Ella Miesse. Ms. Rund and Ms. Manning are the team's coaches.
